on the occasion of the upcoming celebration of Sunway Sitges 
International Chess Festival 2014, to be held in Sitges (40 km. 
south of Barcelona) between December 13th and 21st, 2014. 

This Chess Festival will take place in the beautiful tourist 
coastal town of Sitges, close to Barcelona’s international airport, 
with cash prizes over 19.700 €. Players of the Open Tournament 
will be divided in two groups, A (more than 2000 ELO FIDE points) 
and B (less than 2000 ELO FIDE points) and will play up to 9 
rounds. Besides that, the festival includes a couple of sessions 
of simultaneous chess games with IGM, two rapid chess night tournaments, 
chess conferences, etc., and we are confident that it will be
